I got my complete LS3 with all accesories out of a 2008 Corvette with harness and less than 2000 miles for $3250 cash.

Mine was pretty expensive. Came wrapped in a pretty orange wrapper.

If you can't find a good deal, pick up an LS2 short block and some LS3 heads. With a nice cam, you won't be leaving much on the table for being down a few cubes.

Haha maybe ill go snooping around the service shop at the local chevy dealer.

I like the idea of the ls2 short with l92 heads. I agree that it would be a good starting place. I asked this question to try to get a general idea of what is out there. Thanks for all the replays so far

I payed 500 from a friend 50 miles on it. He said it was the third engine they put in a denali trying to fix a low oil light and end up being the wiring harness was bad!

I got an ly6 with harness, computer, all accessories, O2 sensors, cats, gas pedal, and a 6l90 six speed trans for $4,500 with 11 miles on it. From Schram auto salvage on Ebay. They told me it came out of a surplus vehicle. GM scrapped the whole thing because something about the body was screwed up.

geeze haha i just blew my ls1 up. this is some good info. maybe i need to go 2 the dealer and snoop around also. they'll prolly laugh at me haha

LY6 is almost identical except its an iron 6.0 with 9.6 to 1 compression ratio.

I gave $4,000 for my LS3 with a carb intake,Livernors camshaft .590/.600MSD 6012 igntion,TCI flexplate,adapter plates for motor swap in a sbc car,box full of some truck water pumps.Found it on craigslist.Guy actually had a BBC forsale but he aslo told me about a brand new LS3 he might be willing to make a deal on.Engine was brand new never been ran......best $4,000 I ever spent
