Default Spark plug gap for 408?

H/C 408, 11:1 compression, no nitrous. Having some backfire issues on the dyno so we're swapping plugs in the morning. Gonna pick up some TR6's, just curious what I should gap them at? NGK BKR7E (#6097) .040" for N/A
was what was recommended I run in this motor, but hard enough to find TR6's locally, so not sure if I can find these.

Do not use TR6's, use TR55 or TR5 gapped at .050-.055 and it'll be as good as you can be.

My last plug change all I could find at my parts stores was TR5's (they are the identical plug as the TR55). I gapped them to .052 to split the difference. My 427ci, 11.3:1 compression....couldn't run more perfect.

I agree, I used tr6's and they fouled asap!
I now use tr55's gapped at .055" and they are perfect. I have an LS2 403 Stroker with 11:1 compression
