Default another PCV question!

when you blow in a valve, one way is blocked...on a external valve, should the side that air flows through be going away from the motor, or to it?

if that makes sense.

The flat side goes to the engine.

the flat side? you mean the bigger end?

when you are accelerating...does the air flow through? and then is blocked when you decelerate?

Provide the following and I'll provide a diagram.

How many ports on the drivers valve cover?
How many ports on the passenger valve cover?
Are you running a catch can? Single or dual? What brand?

we have talked before, and you helped me. But I am doubting the internal valve in the valley.

drivers valve is blocked. passenger has 1 block, one going to a filter. I have a catch can. one line going to valley, one line going to the intake.

I did have the valve cover going to the air bridge, but the air bridge filled with oil...did not work right.

also, a single catch can. not sure on brand. it just has 2 hose connections. one on top that has a filter, and one on the side

The LS3 valley has a fixed orifice PCV 'valve'. I quote valve because it's not really a valve like a normal variable orifice PCV valve.

Are you collecting oil in the can? Have you tried moving the can to the clean side to see how it works?

oil is going in the can, but im still getting blow by. a plum of smoke when I nail it, and when im done rowing the gears, it smells of oil.

im wondering if a external valve would help.....or if i just need a vac pump

A variable orifice valve may help a little, but from what you explain there are other issues. You can use a vacuum pump, but it's just a band aid for a mechanical issue. :-(
