Question I have a few header questions!!!

2001 pontiac trans am,
1. I should get "race" style headers right?
2. does AIR need removed before or after headers are done?
3. what all needs to be done so that I dont throw any codes?
I deff. want cermamic coated headers so they dont rust and deff. want ORY so I dont have any CATS. I was goin to wait till winter to do this but I am forced to do it now because my passenger side catalatic converter is goin bad, so I need to get them changed out soon!

That depends on what your looking to do if you need to pass a visual inspection you will need to keep the air system( it does'nt cost any HP to keep it)

2. does AIR need removed before or after headers are done?

If you buy a race system you can remove the air anytume you want. Don't buy a non-race system then decide to remove the air because the block off plates tend to crack the headers over time.

3. what all needs to be done so that I dont throw any codes?

You will need a tune to clear any codes and also get the most performance out of the system

I deff. want cermamic coated headers so they dont rust and deff. want ORY so I dont have any CATS.

On a stainless steel header you don't have to coat them unless you want to a quality (304 or better) stainless header won't rust like mild steel does. You can get it done but it's not a necessity. Again cats are a inspection thing and unless your doing a big head and cam setup or FI the cats we use won't hurt you more than maybe 5hp but a catless system is less expensive if thats a concern

I was goin to wait till winter to do this but I am forced to do it now because my passenger side catalatic converter is goin bad, so I need to get them changed out soon!
I hope this helps you with your descion if I can help you in any way let me know
