alternator problem

alternator problem I am having a problem with my alternators, the first was destroyed by power steering fluid then I tried 2 remanufactured from autozone which only lasted about 1 minuate each, then I got one from the dealer and that lasted about 5 days. This is a new 347 forged short block with vortech supercharger and a couple of gauges and one small extra water pump so I don't think its the energy being used. The engine gets kind of hot, about 205 on hot days because of the supercharger underhood heat. The red wire has been replaced and I just removed this alternator and had it tested and it failed. Any input guys....
How did you replace thw red excitor wire? Did you solder it together or splice it on with butt connectors? Soldering has not worked for some people.
Did you also change the plug for that wire?
If all is well, try another alternator. But the ones with lifetime warranties, like the ProStart from Advance Auto.
