Default Is the trans am 78mm MAF too restictive for a modded ls3?

Just like the title says. mods are in my sig. I am running a Whisper lid that I assume is a 78 mm unit going to a stock 78mm MAF. Then I have the stock bellows for now going to the Holly 90mm TB. At WOT over 6000rpm my map sensor drops from 99kpa to about 94. This makes me think I have vacuum in the intake during high airflow. 'm guessing this is due to the small intake track I have. What does everyone recommend for a maf or ends and what lid is avail. that will fit a larger maf. Thanks.

I was dropping down to about 92-93Kpa with the 85mm MAF. I put in a 4 inch down tube and a 100mm MAF and Kpa now stays up around 100. Build in sig.

Assuming that your air filter isn't clog. I would way that your MAF is the culprit. Take the money that you were gonna use on buying a replacement and put it towards some tuning software and just tune it for SD and trash the MAF all together.

For an intake lid, try the FASTtoys lid. It says 85mm, but it's actually larger than that on the ID.

There is a 2 bar SD for the 98 PCMs that will work, or you can just pull the MAF and run it that way. There are pluses and minus to that but with a proper tune you'll not know the difference.
