C5 / Fbody
C5 / Fbody I am having a hard time buying 97 - c5 accessories to finish my project (iron 408). My question is this. Are the accessories and/or brackets the same for the Fbody as te Y body? There are plenty Fbody accessories for sale here. I dont want to buy things that dont fit.

AC compressor and brackets
Alternator and brackets
Starter and brackets
Power steering and brackets
water pump
pulley tensioner
and UD pulley

Vette stuff is WAY different...all of it. IMO, the fbody stuff is easier to deal with...not to mention more readily available. Crank pulleys are different too. Vette accesories are much closer to the block. Starter is the same either way...and I think the water pump is too (not 100% sure on the wp though).
fast377 is correct, the starter and water pump off a F body are similar to those off a C5. The other stuff is different.
I am also collecting C5 accessory drive parts. They are out there. You just have to do some internet walking. Try the corvette forums, ebay, as well as the classifieds here.
Those parts I dont find used I'll just buy new at GM online parts stores. PM me if you need details on the place I am using.

So I CAN use the starter and water pump from the fbody? Because I can get them all day.
