Default top swap LS3 map sensor

IMPORTANT info, read the last post.

I just got my ported LS3 intake and just waiting for my heads. I also got a custom map extension. Thing is as I went to put in my LS1 map sensor the LS3 intake hole is too big.

I don't want to just shove in sylicone.

Why not just buy a LS3 MAP sensor???( LS3 has bolt/screw hole ) ( L76 clip-on style ) whichever style intake you have....

you can try to find a fatter o-ring, use a piece of hose to attach it to the back of the intake, or get an ls3 map sensor with a new pigtail.

I know I can go and just buy one but I was wondering if anyone was using the LS1 map. I got the Ls3 bolt in type. I just ordered one.

AS AN FYI:

There are 2 map LS3 sensors, 1 early (LS1 type) and 1 late. I hear there is a TSB on them and this is why they changed the design. I have a new LS3 intake so I have the late style.

ALSO note the late style has a different type plug and needs an adapter. The LS1 type plug will not work. I have a friend who makes the plug and extention. So it worked for me.

So you're saying there are two different LS3 style sensors ( that bolt-on not clip on.)
Or are you mistaken and thinking of the L76 style sensor versus the LS3 style???

Doesnt Katech offer an LS3 adaptor harness to adapt from Delphi MAP to Bosh MAP?

I don't know about the Kartech adapter, I only know about the GM issue. There is that slight change in the LS3 early/late intake. I never said L92 because I'm very familiar with it. I can only assume it would have LS1 type since it is a early type.

If I had gotten a reply about the Kartech adapter I would've looked into it. I was just trying to post up some info I found and not take any heat for it.
