Default Truck Coil information plug /wires

Just and FYI here.. Lot of people are moving to the trucks coils now. They do take a longer plug wire than the standard LS1 car wire but the truck wire is to long.

We make custom length sets for people all the time with these coils. 2-2.5 inches longer is what the plug wire needs to be, the cost is only $2 more than a car wire set for a total of $60 shipped to your door or you can add spark plugs as well for an addition $12.

100% MSD 8.5mm Superconductor wire and components

We also carry the Accel GM/LS truck coils

whats the max RWHP those coils and wires you make can support. The MAX until they will not work any more?

I'm also waiting for someone to make a wire that can be pulled off the sprak plug...by pulling the wire itself and not ripping the wire free from the boot in doing so.

With the little tiny bit of space we have you cant get your hand gripped firmly around the boots of the back plugs on the passengers side to pull them off the spark plugs. You have to pull the wires and they usually break.

Well I don't make the coils so I really cant help you there as far as HP supported but I can say that you would have a hard time pulling my wires apart by hand. The boot just slides over the wire and terminal it doesn't matter if it moves or not, you just slide it back into position:the boot does not hold the wire together. The wire is held together by two separate crimps of the terminal. One to the internal current carrying wire and the other to the jacket to hold it together. The jacket crimp is what keeps the wire from falling apart.

I don't mean pulling the wire where it breaks in half...I mean can you put the boot on the spark plug so it snaps onto the spark plug electrode...then when you do a tune up just pull the wire (not touch the boot) and the spark plug clip inside the boot will come off the spark plug.

If you do that with the GM wires or aftermarket wires like my Taylor Thuinderbolts years ago did.....the wire will pull right off the boot and the wire/clip stay on the spark plug...it breaks.

Thats because they are not as good as the MSD. Taylors are famous for breaking at the plug electrode. MSD's dont do that due to the double crimp system

Ok, that answers it than. So I can pull these by grabbing the "wire only" to pull the boot and metal clip off the spark plug.

Because that is how I have to pull a few of them off.

Maybe I'll get a set from you, thanks.
