Default L92 Carb Style Intake

Does anyone know of any other intake than the Victor Jr. carb style EFI intake?

probably the carry's when it comes out.

super victor is rumoured to come out some time soon as well.

but any step above the victor jr. at the moment would be a sheetmetal imho.

I called Edelbrock and they were saying that it is good to about 600 hp. I am looking at something that will work with boost and can handle 800-1000 rwhp. Any body out there pushing that much power and are using the Victor Jr.? I also didn't want to get a cowl hood. I wanted something that will fit under the stock hood and flows great

the victor jr. is good well past 600 hp.

your best bet would probably be the new fast then, since you want to keep a stock hood and not cut anything.

you should start applying for new mortgage now.

I just had an L92 head motor dynoed with a port matched Victor Jr that made 744@6800. It's a 14 to 1 race motor running a Pro Systems 4150 style carb. The Victor Jr is the most bang for the buck in an L92 aluminum single plane right now.

Dont forget that when they say 600HP thats N/A. I would have to think that the Victor JR would have no problem supporting 1200 plus HP with boost.

I see. As for the hood, are you against cutting the cowl to clear an elbow? As far as I know with an elbow and trimmed cowl you can run a stock hood.

You can also run a flat hood with a 4150 4 BBL throttle body and a carb hat.

A low profile hat would be close with a stock flat hood, but I think it will work fine. I have about 2" from the top of my TB to the brace on the bottom of my hood.

Mine is an Accufab 4150 with no spacer and a Spectre hat. Just does fit under the hood. I did have to trim the bracing at the back though. Just so long as it does not have a hole on the hood surface .

I agree 100%. If a carb style and a 4150tb is an option, jump on it, you will love it.

very interesting. I like the 4150tb idea much better. Do you have to change any wiring or fab anything special or do all the sensors bolt right up? Sorry for all the questions, but that setup looks sick.
