Anyone tried the NEW TR Cheatr V. 3 Cam?? I am trying to find out if anyone has tried the new version of the cheatr the "V. 3" 219/230 .607 .604 117 LSA should be a perfect combo on an LS3 motor for a near stock feel. Any thoughts?

Yeah cam spec does look good for a square port head. Not sure how close to ideal valve events would be and what ICL you would want. Why not call Thunder and ask?

I bought the CheaTR V3 in late October as a package with Ti retainers, locks, Double Springs, pushrods from TR. I am out in Iraq so I haven't installed it yet. Won't be until I get back some time in the spring. I got it for my 05 CTS-V because I was looking for a cam that will give me some gains and still let me pass the dreaded California SMOG test.
I'm going to see about having CMS in Lake Elsinore, CA install and tune it for me. I'll be posting the results when I get it complete. The only other mod that I will probably add is an underdrive pulley. I have to make it look as stock as possible as I have a SMOG test I think in another year or so.
If it ends up working out for me, I may go with the CheaTR head and Cam package for my 2000 Camaro SS. We'll see
