Default TFS245's or All Pro's

I have a 454LSX with TFS 245's and was wondering if I would see any gains going with the All Pro LS7's. The one advantage I see would be the abilty to use the 102mm FAST/NW 102mm tb.The car mostly see's street duty and will soon be tuned SD.

What do you think? I'm looking for some input here.

Right now it looks like you have a very nice setup. Going forward with the All -Pro's would require a new set of rockers, Jesel KPS-294108 kit, intake, TB and most likely a cam change to make everything work together. While you can never have enough power, I think your current setup goes a long way towards your desired end. The runner size and air speed going through your engine right now should make for an outstanding street/race car. I for one would sort out the rest of your combination before going into the engine to make more power. If your current combination is sorted out, then by all means go with the Pro's.

I thought the FAST 102 was an L92 intake? I fso, it will not fit LS7 heads.

I would go to the PI intake and put a dominator TB on it... I am thinking you would see some nice gain from that with a set of all proa or PI heads.

You would more than likely make more power but how much is not a certain and it would definately cost a heap of money to do.

We offer our 457 with TFS 245's on top, 9 second combo !

You have a great set of heads on there now, yes the All Pro flow more and the intake option might flow more as well so there is power to be made but it will come at a maximum cost. I have All Pros on my personal car, as stated the rockers you need to run wiht them are $1650 alone from Jesel less from T+D but longer wait.

Thanks for the input. I sort of knew the answers before asking but needed to bounce it around. I think I'll stick with my heads and do a Fast 92 ported to 96mm with a NW 96mm tb. This along with a SD tune should make a bit more power. Mike and the guys did a great job with the car and it's never threw a code but I feel there's more left in it.

For the cost of going to the All-Pros you could buy an ITB intake for the heads you have now and you will make possibly 65 more HP, maybe more.

Changing to All-Pros won't do much because the weak link in your set up is your intake. We used to be restricted because of cheesy heads....now we have awesome heads and the same cheesy plastic intakes. Or sheet metals which suck on the street and still don't make much more power than the plastic intakes.

Go here, scroll down to the appropriate LSx intake. $3,600. Bolt one of these on and your 454ci will wake up like you never dreamed possible.

How much power are you making now? I'm at 600 with a ported fast, and my solution for wanting more is a direct port.

Roughly 580 rwhp. My goal is 630 but I may allready be there. Can you ever have enough though.

The GTO drivetrain eats the power (15%). My goal is 700 crank hp(est) on 93 pump gas and N/A......call me crazy. I've done more to the engine since Mike tuned it and it does need a sd tune. I believe I'm running out of air @6k or out of maf.

Torque isnt a issue, at 45mph in 3rd it will liquify the tires........

Since it's not my money, and i have a 454 with TFS245's as well....i say get All Pro's and tell us how it does

I think you're going down the right path though. The GTO drivetrains ARE more parasitic and a re-tune in SD might be all you need on a different dyno to see 600+ rwhp. i started my build with 600 as the goal. I had Tony Mamo port a FAST 92 for my HKE-built 454 though. I asked him about going 96mm and he said it wouldn't yield any results. I can't remember the exact numbers, but a 454 at WOT pulls "x" cfm and the 92mm opening flows way more than that. You might consider 2" headers or, i dunno...a F1-R

My camaro's drivetrain is not like the GTO's, but i DO still have a 9" with 4.11's, which will eat quite a bit of power. I'm waiting for my Meziere pump to show up for the first start-up. Keep an eye on my build thread (in sig) for updates. Good luck
