lsx 454 better have deep pockets...could always go ls2 stroker... ls1 with dart sleves...? alot of ways to go to make the power he wants n/a.... more so how fast you want to run?

It is a good, relatively cheap way to make some real power. But it's still not very realistic on his budget. I'm sure you've seen this but it's some good info on what a solid FI build really costs https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...induction.html

yea ive seen that... as i'm building a iron 370 fi right now... just dont know what turbo to go with as i made another forum asking that... i'm going big so i'll have alot more money into my self up.

but even a stock ls1 with a crapy sts turbo can make 500+ to the wheels.....

i would go with what eric and his 383 topped off with afr's. you know what your getting. other than that schwanke (sp) had 427 iron blocks for under 4k or go with a budget 408 with worked l92 heads. i say sacrifice another year of waiting an saving up and get what you really want.

unfortunately, im looking at another 6months-1yr to finish my procharger build and getting a nice rear end . i have 7k worth of parts in my living room

How about build a pullout LQ4/LQ9 and hit it with H/C/I and the laughing gas? That combo would come in a lot lower than a built 370 with a snail or a n/a 454...
