Question lq9 into a 98 z28

I was was wondering what it would take to change a z28 over from a ls1 to a lq9. I totaled my silverado ss last week and am getting a 98 z28 with 180k miles> i bought the truck back for $1200 so i figures i would rebuild the motor to in the camaro when the stock motors craps out on me. would this be a good thing to do or not. I know ill have to change a couple parts so i was gonna see if yall could help e get a parts list going. Thanks in advance

Hey MERV, Did you custom make your true duals? I was thinking about doing the same thing. There are some kits on ebay for around $800 or $900 bucks. If you did custom make them, how much did it cost you in piping. Thanks.

It's a whole different animal of the street with a 6.0L in it... nothing like a H/C car getting rubber for miles with only H/C.... lol For sure the best way to go. Look up www.texas-speed.com in the heads and cam section for sure you can't go from with a set of CNCed heads and a texas giant.
