It might work better if you contact him. He might not see this.

Default LS-1/LS-7 ITB 65mm (8)

Hi All, yes my sight has been "clouded" by Pumpkin Pie.

Thanks for the interest, the Dyno's are MANY with the LS-2 stock @ 500 HP
There are .pdf files easy to mail, just send your URL request.
The LS Dyno Test (100+ reports) Book by Richard H. has my ITB's featured.

Do you require a Side Draft unit ?

realize that what air box you put on them can really choke their performance. They are also a major PITA to tune.

Yeah, the airbox MUST be able to handle more than the total CFM of all 8 TB's if flow is not to be compromised.

I know this was an older thread, but the technical discussion and the back ond forth between the members regarding the pros and cons, etc, and the challenges to assumptions made make this a great read. Thanks to all who contributed for a great thread!

[QUOTE=RAMPANT;15278781]My Harrop was the opposite, it made a little more power with the complete airbox, y-pipe and filter. Only 5rwhp gain, but it showed a gain. That said the version 1.0 of my motor had issues that are now corrected. When it is on the dyno we will try it again.

My tuner was surprised, as he was sure it would lose something.

They only had a volume of 3.5-4 liters. Not sure why it worked, but it did. Likely works a lot better moving too, as I have the ram air pretty well sealed up feeding both sides. Also curious if the Y connecting both sides help to contribute to the volume. I would bet half of it equals 3-4 liters alone not counting the air lid.

One day I will have a set of CF units that are a lot thinner and should have a little more volume.[/QUOTE

harrop found the same. They actually gained a few hp up top but lost tq down low with the air boxes.
