Lightbulb Solid 440 and stock radiator

I am starting to rebuild my TA (not from an accident) and I am wondering what power level is the stock radiator good till? My car should be right around 650 to the tire N/A and 800rwhp on some spray.
If I have to buy an aftermarket radiator it will be relocated to be vertical and a griffin.

Thanks for the help.

Stocker will be fine. Seen many 9 sec and faster cars run stockers.

I ran my stocker for 2 seasons and it worked ok. If it was really hot out and i ran my A/C it would start heating the coolant up to about 220-230. I figured my oil temp was pretty high with this so i just bought a Ron Davis with a built in oil cooler and see 180-190 at the most now. Expensive but well worth it!

I did not chance it with the stocker. I grabbed one of these,

He makes them in his shop close to Chicago. 2 " core and now that I'm in Florida, it never heats up. Though it weighs a lil more than the stocker, it's worth the lil extra insurance.

I also went with a higher volume water pump which Steve @ RED recommended.

I bought the same Entropy radiator. Fit is pretty good. I like it and he answers questions pretty quick.

I ran my stocker and it was fine, I'm swapping to a TINY little one now.. track car though.

For street use I think the stock one is fine, with an elec pump you will have more flow at low engine speeds, and that will help alot with the cooling ability.

Run a little water wetter, and that usually helps the temps some too, I always just ran strait water once the car was fast, never had a problem with track only use.

Little radiator will get the water wetter, just to be safe.

If the stock cooling system is healthy and working properly....its all anyone needs for your HP level. I've only have a 427ci with just under 500 RWHP, but it runs so damn cool no matter how hot it gets down here in south Florida heat, traffic, a/c on max, driving hard....doesn't matter. Never ever do I see more than 210 degrees.

BUT....I did an LT1 radiator swap....which I highly recommend you go with. It goes in 100% exactly the same and has all the same ports and coolant level sensor attachement port. It has one extra port, bottom drivers side corner on the back....just cap it with a cap and one band clamp. 30% more cooling area is what I've read and been told. Either way....my engine runs WAY cool.

See the extra port in my pic below. I took advantage of it, added a 6 inch piece of heater hose, put a plastic thread plug into the end and clamped it on. When I need to do a radiator flush, it gushes out like a river and makes it so much easier and faster to do a flush. I hate that cheesy little factory petcock drain.

I'm doing a 441ci next month...who's doing your build?
