Default LS2 TB Butterfly Axle...

Can someone guide me on how to disassemble and have in hand (and put back in...) the butterfly axle from my OEM 90mm Throttle Body?

Can someone guide me on how to disassemble and have in hand (and put back in...) the butterfly axle from my OEM 90mm Throttle Body?

My intent is NOT to machine, grind or modify the body of the Throttle-Body...just the butterfly axle...as on the pictures here (or similar)

My concern is with the electronic of the butterfly command on the LS2 Fly by Wire TB.
To access the axle I need to dismount the four screws visible on the pictures below...and I have no clue of what I am going to find when I will take the top off...

Appreciate all the help.
Thanks in advance

I urge you not to grind the shaft as much as in that photo. You can slim both sides of the shaft, but don't completely remove one side. The airflow gain is insignificant in relation to the increased stress on the throttle blade and what would remain of the shaft, and the result could be failure of the parts, thus damaging your engine.

Would think you could take the blade to a blade while you're at it.

Did you ever remove the motor assembly? Just wondering what you found inside and whether it was easy to reassemble. I thought I would remove the electronics before I powder coat and heat the housing. I'm wondering how easy it was to remove and reinstall the motor and other components within the housing after removing the 4 screws.

The TB CANNOT be dismantled...it is sealed...

The final results below is obtained without unscrewing a bolt:

You're a braver man than I Christian. Wouldn't it have been "safer" to just do a NW TB of whatever size you looking to do?

Kevin,

I guess I just wanted to make my point valid on the kPa increase in MAP between 5000rpm and 7200rpm...and it is what I did!!!

Let's wait for a real ITB (meaning with air boxes and air filters fitting under our Corvette's hoods) to invade the LS market and then I will change my little pretty efficient drivable intake.
