99 Camaro power steering pump mounting????

99 Camaro power steering pump mounting???? Hi Everybody...
I'm interested to find out if the standard 99 Camaro power steering pump (I believe it does use the newer type of pump) mounting puts the body of the pump in front of the engine, or does the rear of the pump fall to the side and behind the front face of the engine? I've got an LS3 in my Vette and the PS pump is to the side of the engine and is a 16th of an inch from the pass side upper control arm. It works ok, but I am thinking of doing a different type of mount so I can get more wiggle room.

The pump is in front of the engine. The alternator sits lower and part of its bracket attaches on the drivers side of the block.The power steering pump attaches to the drivers head
