OP, IMO, the money can be better spent elsewhere in your case. Like stated above, minimal, if any difference will be noticed. I moved from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 and only noticed a couple hundred dollars missing from my wallet. I, however, am still on stock cubes, so it may be a little different with you. I didnt notice anywhere in your post about an intake. Assuming you are still running stock LS3 intake, I still think you would gain more from a FAST, than a nominal size increase in your primaries.
Thanks for all the input folks. I have a set of 3.89s in my 9" over10.5 MT DRs. Still on the fence with the FAST 102. 15HP is not worth $1200 to me, but 30-40HP over an LS3 setup might! BTW, I will be putting a plate kit in front of it with a 175 hit. Have stand alone fuel cell, LNC-002, DS window switch, etc. I am going to go with an ATI UDP for sure. Just unsure what else to go with.

1200 should have you set for spray, and ya, I would spray before I'd pay for an intake. While its not the best "bang for the buck" mod, you will see a noticable gain once everything else is done. Spray>Intake.
I already have a complete n2o setup but with a 78mm plate for my old LS6 intake. I haven't bought a new plate yet because I'm just not sure which intake setup I'm going to go with. I have a complete LS3 setup with fuel rail and injectors but no throttle body until I figure out what I'm going to do.
