Pictures absolutely do not do justice for that car. It rides and drives like a C6. No squeaks, rattles, clunks, nothing. Pretty good tune too LOL

Jeff,

Mike has sold 4 of the new style frames since showing mine at Carlisile.
I was at the Tool & Die maker Friday, Ed had a stack of covers going
to the anodizer. Looked awesome.

For everyone else interested,

Mike Stockdale does steel cars also. Has a 59' El Camino in the shop,
LS motor with corvette trans axle setup. Also a 55' Chevy; LS motor,
Ford center section with IRS in back. Both cars on tube chassis.

Oh yeah..........

Ring and pinion were cryo'd and micro polished, Toms differential spider gears, steel caps, posi unit, inner and outer axle stubs and billet pinion flange. Also running 3" chrome moly half shafts and drive shaft with spicer 1350 joints. It's about as stout as that D44 can get, but I'm sure it could be broken if you try hard enough

Those frames are definetly very nice. It's basically a new car with an old school body. I really like the looks of it. How much does you car weigh?

The frame is just awesome, almost too nice to cover with a body! The car weighs in at 3120 with 1/2 tank of fuel. I was shooting for 3000 lbs, but after the power seats, power windows, AC, stereo ...blah, blah...it fattened up to it's current weight ..... so I compensated it with more power to help offset the extra fat

Jeff,

That's still really light considering how heavy modern cars are getting.
