Can I put my cats back on after rear o2 sensor delete I had my rear o2 sensor deleted after I removed my cats Now I'm a bit annoyed by the sound even with magnaflow catback. Can I just weld the cats back on or will the cats burn up because I don't have rear o2 sensors anymore?
The rear O2 sensors are ONLY used to monitor if the cats are functioning.
If your front O2 sensors are in good working order, yes, you can put the cats back into the exhaust. Your tuner MAY have disabled "cat overtemp" protection in the PCM when it was tuned for no cats, so it might be worth just asking, and if he did, it's also VERY easy to re-enable if necessary.
