tapping block knock sensor
I personally have never tapped anything thing on a engine. So i need to need to tap my block on my lsx block for ls1 style sensors since i am running a ls1 wiring harness. Is it hard tapping the block or should i have someone professionally install it for me? The lsx block has m8 theads and the ls1 has m10 threads. Can i use any kind of an adapter instead of tapping the block or is there a ls1 sensor with a m8 style thread?

well i know the other option is using the motor mount holes. Could i use on of the motor mount holes where my motor bracket is? So it would just be like a 4th bolt ?

Talked to my tuner first but, i put one knock sensor on the rear engine mount hole, and the other in the front side mount hole. Appears that on the lsx block you can mount your knock sensor towards the front of the block or the rear of the block. i know what i am saying sounds confusing. i will take pics of my car in the air monday, when it goes to the exhaust shop. Just finishing my engine swap.

No need to tap the block. I had like 5 bolt holes to choose from on the passenger side because I'm not running AC, and 2 on the driver side. Screwed them both right in.
