Question LS1 MAP on LS3 intake?

Is there a way to use a LS1 MAP sensor on an LS3 intake?

Thanks

I made a bracket to screw down the map sensor. I couldn't find a good enough fit for a o ring so I just used RTV to ensure a good seal. I haven't ran it yet but I know it will have a tight seal.

A short section of 1/4" rubber fuel line works perfect as a grommet.

What are you guys doing with that black ribbed hose coming out beneath the map? Would it work if I put my map on the end of that? I think the map in it's proper location will be in the way of my throttle and tv cable bracket.

I know this is an old thread, but I looked at it when doing my swap.
There is an easier and better solution that making a bracket and finding an o-ring to make the LS1 sensor fit on the LS3 manifold - tap the threads on the LS3 manifold with a pipe tap (I don't have the size handy, but I think it was 1/4") - it is perfectly sized to simply turn the tap, no drilling needed. There is plenty of material on the intake to securely hold a barbed pipe fitting.
On the LS1 MAP sensor - take off the rubber ribbed fitting and plug in a 5/16" hose (I think) - MAP sensor has a barb that will secure the hose.
Connect the sensor and the barb with rubber hose and secure the sensor in a sensible location.
This takes all of 5 minutes once you have the parts and you will not have to worry about leaks.

You can just get a rubber stopper from sears, drill a tiny hole through it, and shove the map sensor in there. It will be a tight fit. Can silicone it in if you want.

Then just extend the harness or buy the casper extension.

So are you saying you would have a length of tubing between the actual sensor and the intake manifold brass barb? I am just trying to picture what you are describing, I think I understand.

That is correct, and now you can located the MAP sensor wherever you want (within reason).
