hey guys, i have a question about my LS3 crate engine. i got it all set up in a 72 camaro w comp cam LSR 269, got it running and while looking things over while it was idling, i noticed the crank pulley wabbles noticably. when i did the cam swap i used a new torque to yeld bolt and torqued it to spec. i cant remember the exact # , but it was something like 50 ft lbs +270 degrees. is this something to worry about and has anyone else noticed this? thanks

Its definitely something to worry about. I wouldnt drive the car till its fixed. I dont know what would cause it though but I think 50 foot lbs is way to low for that to be torqued. Fbody torque spec I think is 240 ft lbs

Mine did the same thing man you need to notch the the crank for a key way on the balancer because they factory cranks done come with them mine did it twice after torque from hell so thats what i did an now its trying to throw the belt because of a weak tensioner so i ordered the comp cams one with idoler pulley n now its fine so it's all good! My callies cranks was notched when i ordered my 408 from LME but the slp balancer wasn't so i ordered a new PowerBond balancer and they are super nice piece for a good price well worth the money.
