I have a 2005 5.3 that is electronic throttle and I just bought a 2000 silverado that is drive by cable. I am putting the electronic throttle motor in the truck and I have the computer, throttle, and wire harness for both engines. What is the easiest way to do this and how would I do it? I really don't care if it is electronic or cable throttle.

Something is telling me that the crank reluctors are different between the 2 engines....but I might be wrong. Something to look into though. If they are the same, then I see no reason why you would not just use the same TB that was in the truck from the factory.
Edit Add: Also, make sure that you reuse the same injectors. If one engine is "flex fuel", and the other is not, the injectors will be different flow rates.
