Hey guys
Got great deal on my forged H/C LS1 346ci that I was spraying it with 150-200 shot .. time for bigger engine & bigger shot
It is 02 SS M6 with Moser 12 Bolt (3.5 gears) & Built T-56, it will never see the track and it is not my DD .. only weekend warrior that I enjoy spraying it against supras and evos or driving it around![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)
I'm between LS3 416ci or LS7 427ci, both will see TFS 235 with ported FAST 102mm along with direct port and mild cam![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
I'm looking to do 250-300 shot ( Since I spray the baby 346ci engine with 200 shot I feel it is shame to spray the bigger cubics with the same amount of N2O
)
If you are asking about which rotating assimbly I will use so it is Callies Dragonslayer crankshaft, Callies compstar rods, Wiseco piston
I know that " NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT " and the LS7 with 427ci will make more power/torque along the curve but it is all about "" LS3 block vs LS7 block "" when it comes to power adder like N2O.. which block will have more abuse with nitrous and more durability ?

I have a ls3 416 and i am spraying about a 225-250. .82 jet. Mine makes almost 800 rwhp and runs strong. But if i was going to do it all over again, i would build the 427 just because its the max ci i can run in the class im in. good luck with your decision.

"LSX" Block and be done with it.
Also, just because a motor has larger CI, doesn't mean you should spray more. It has to be built AND tuned to "handle" the additional nitrous. I have a 427, but it wasn't built to handle a 300 shot because of ring gapping, its a NA motor.

With the stock LS7 liners, it's going to be all in the tune and what type of fuel you run. I've seen quite a few LS7 blocks with an better forged piston for the application or completely new rotating system take 1000+rwhp.
I've talked to Jeremy @ House of Boost a few times about their F2 powered C6 Z06 that made 1100rwhp through a 4L80E on the stock liners for a long time and never had a failure. If you're competent, the LS7 will last. Nothing is gauranteed though. The LS3 does have a thicker sleeve.

I have a 440ci LS7 with a direct port. It's actualy fairly similar to what you're looking at with TFS heads and a 102mm fast. I'd say go as big as you can. The car is a blast off the bottle. The RHS block wasn't out when my motor was built or I probably would have gone that route, and the ERL SD1 might be another option. I would not go with an iron block under any circumstance.
I can't give a good longevity report as my direct port install was completed just before I left the country.
