Default DBW with non electronic transmission

This is what iv been planning but while searching for companies to convert my harness to stand alone, One company recommended not doing this. My plan was L92 with turbo 350 full manual valve body. Can it be done? switching to Drive by cable would be a pain.

With the amount of wiring going to the trans, you could just tie it up. Then try it out.
Go into the tune and turn off the codes for the trans and should work fine

There wont be any wiring for the transmission. Im getting a harness made for the swap. So if I put everything together and it doesn't work Im screwed.

Just program and wire the computer like it's a stick shift vehicle...run the park neutral switch wires to the shifter instead of the clutch pedal though. If you plan to have the computer start the engine still, then you might need to play with the clutch interlock safety check setting in the PCM.
