Default which way to skin this cat?

Ok, I have a delima. I see 3 ways to solve this problem and was wondering which way to go as I need to know the pros and cons of each option. Here is what I have.

I am putting a 406 together. i am using a LS3 block bored to 4.070", a 3.90 stroke crank, 6.100 rods. and -11cc dished pistons that have a compression height of 1.175. The guy who I bought the block from had a deal on the Mahle Pistons and rings and rods. They were originally more dished but the original buyer backed out and he had them cnc'd down to the -11cc figure. As setup, i knew that they would be .015 in hole with the 6.100 rods, so I requested that he have the machine shop who was doing the align honing and boring to deck the block down 15 thou to make the pistons sit at relative "0" deck height. well I have had the parts here for some time and finally got around to installing everything and my pistons are sitting .015 in hole. looks like the machine shop screwed me and never milled the block down as i requested.

So now I have a delima. even if i run a .040 gasket, as I planned, my quench will be .055. I was planning on being at .40 quench. So basically the way I see it, I have 3 options.

1) run a .030 thick gasket
2) pull everything out and send block to get decked
3) run 6.125" rods and pull everything out and get rotating assembly rebalanced.

obviously #1 is the easiest and cheapest. Is there a down side to running such a thin gasket and/or keeping the pistons down in hole. If I go gasket route, what bore size. My heads are 61cc TEA stage 2 LS6 heads that have been milled .020. I have seen 4.060 bore .030 thick cometics for sale for around $190 for the pair. will that be OK with the smaller combustion chamber of my heads or should I keep it larger than bore.

I would opt for option 2.

With an 11cc dish, 61cc chambers and .015 in the hole, your looking at a very lazy compression ratio. Unless this is a boost build.

I would have it zero decked, mill the heads a little more and run a .035 gasket.

Also, you need your gasket bore larger than the cylinder bore.

I'd run a .035x4.100 gasket, zero decked and a 58 cc chamber.
