E85 Guys come on In..
My tuner wants to try E85 w my build, I wondering what all I would have to change and what ill pick up by doing this, Motors a LSX Block 427NA 11.4:1 stock Ls7 heads 247/255 .670 .670 112LSA. 60lb Mototron injectors, Racetronics single in tank fuel pump w hotwire kit, Stock fuel lines and fuel rail. Cars 50/50 street strip
I wanna be able to run either 93 or E85 if i do this thx.

I ran a mix of e85 for over 2 years on my old setup. I used my stock fuel system with no issues. I was able to advance more timing and keep detonation away since I was at 12.3:1cr. Just to be safe, once in a while I would use a little Lucas E85 additive. If youre close to maxed out pump wise on reg premium fuel then you might want to look at a boost a pump or bigger pump for the e85.

E85 also makes best power around 7:1 AFR for reference
Not sure what thermos you are running but keeping it around 170-180* is ideal for E85 when you start to bring on the timing - that temperature range is best for keeping detonation at a minimum.
Also know that ethanol is not storage friendly - you do not want it sitting in carb bowls or tanks for long periods of time due to its slightly corrosive abilities. Its not anywhere near methanol but still worth mentioning. Carbs will need SS floats, jets, needles, and seats accordingly.

you need a double pumper, single on E85 is good to a max of 500whp and that is pushing it
Injectors might be enough but I would prefer 79# on that setup. Stock rail wont be a problem but you might need to up the stock line to -8. Where are you located, We have blender pumps here and alot of guys are running E50 with great results really knocks down the fuel demands while retaining all the benefits
BTW with my compression a -6 range plug is too hot, I have to run an 8, you would need a 7

I'm run E48 and E85 running a Weldon 2035 at 58psi.
-12 from cell
-12 in/out filter
Pump
-10 out of the pump
-10 filter
-10 to a Y-block
-8 to the rails
-4 off the rails to a Aeromotive A1000 regulator
-6 return to the cell
This supplies my motor and a 2 stage wet kit.
On the dyno my 418 has made 546rwhp laying over at 6,600 (do to what I think is a valve spring issue)
N20 times in the sig were with a 57 nitrous jet spraying from the 60' mark. No problems with fuel.
