TBSS and GM Gen IV Truck Owners... RADICAL Gains from RADICAL Ported Intake!
#61
Porting is our business and we are good at it!
Porting intake manifolds and throttle bodies is Peak Speed Shop's primary business. We do a lot of them and have gained a good reputation for high quality work and performance.
Our proprietary process of "Radical Porting" stock LS intake manifolds gains top results! In terms of cost per horse power gained, this is one of the lower cost modifications you can do. A weekend mechanic can easily remove their intake manifold in their garage.
Here is a link for step by step instructions that you can use on most LS cars:

Gen 4 is better. It has a larger intake plenum and runs a larger throttle body than the Gen 3. Yes, the Gen 4 cathedral port (TBSS) manifold will bolt onto the Gen 3. You will need to make some decisions concerning fuel rails, injectors and throttle bodies if you step up to the Gen 4. We can help you with that.

What's the casting number I am looking for on this cathedral port manifold?
I've found a few used ones with a 4 bolt TB and cathedral ports or are they all the same?
I think this one came off of an 07/08 4.8/5.3 engine

Where is the casting number on this intake?
A guy is selling one off an 08 truck with cathedral ports but can't find the casting number.
He's not local so I just wanna make sure I'm getting the right one.
Or if it's the new style intake with cathedral ports & a 4 bolt TB setup it's the correct one or is there another intake that looks like a tbss one but it isn't as good?
Like the ls1 & ls6 intake, they almost look the same but are different.

He sent me a pic with a casting number of 25383922
I have pics on face book messenger he sent me
So would any nnbs truck 07 & up with cathedral port intake be a tbss intake or a similar intake and is just as good and still better than an ls6 intake?
I'm gonna upload a pic to photobucket hold up

Any more recent dyno or customer track times?
Due to the new porting system you use where the intake isn't cut open, how are you still able to simulate the results of porting nnbs intakes in the same detail?
Thanks

Also are there any Christmas or boxing day deals for tbss intake porting? I am quite interested in your service but it is very steep of a price. I understand that you have to pay to play however I am still trying to make this work financially. I did see your unlimited 30 day satisfaction guarantee so that is reassuring if the results are not what I expect.
***edit: Something seems shady here. Since I asked the above questions, peakspeed has been online often searching for his product name and would have definitely seen this recent post. Yet no reply as well as no reply to my private message from the other day.
I was really looking forward to using your services for an intake but after seeing this and other posts where people ask a question but you reply with a bump to the top or not at all , I'm not sure. You charge $425 for tbss intake porting but yet any results are from 3 years ago when you did the old system of porting where the intake was cut to access the internals. So understandably a customer is going to want some communication on the purchase at the very least. Especially since there hasn't been any mention by any users in the last 3 years of using your ported manifolds. Could be due to the price jump from $275 to $425. However I understand you have to pay for quality but I wish the customer service was there too. Interesting way of doing business.

The price jump you mention above isn't accurate. You are comparing the Basic Porting and Radical Porting prices. Basic Porting this manifold is still $275 and Radical Porting is still $425. Here is the link for both options:
