Default Kooks 1 3/4-1 7/8 stepped vs pacesetter???

I have some old pacesetter headers on the 02 camaro that were there when I bought it. I found what looks like a deal on a set of kooks stepped headers 1 3/4 to 1 7/8. I just put in a 416 ls3 and am wondering what gains I would see with the kooks and it's accompanying y pipe over the old pacesetters? (I am not sure if the pacesetters are 1 5/8 or 1 3/4? They are quite old)

Most likely they are 1 3/4 BUT sell them! They will hold you back a lot, go that stepped way or just get the 1 7/8 or a 2". Ask me how I know? Forget others saying you'll loose out on the bottom end cause you'll have TQ
Here's a pic of my graph on a mustang dyno in 110* humid azz Illinois weather lol

Right now with the pacesetters it came in at 500hp/490tq. I would hope that moves up slightly (10-15pts) with better exhaust.

What was your mph down the qtr?

I've read stepped are best with open headers. There was a dyno test done on 1 3/4", 1 7/8" and 2" headers on a LS3 and the 2" performed the best on a STOCK engine.

Your combo sounds just right the way it is. With slicks you'll get booted w/o a roll bar so you nailed it.

What does your car weigh with you in it? I assume you drive it enough on the street to get a feel for mpg?

Your mph says you've got more at the wheels then the dyno is tellin ya unless the car is lightened up a bunch.
