Default LY6 accessories???

I bought a 07 LY6 to put in my 89 irocz but it came without the front serp pulley setup. I have a chance to buy a complete pulley setup off of a LQ4 for $100 but i want to make sure it will bolt on before i buy it. Im pretty sure it will but I would like someone to verify for me first.

It will bolt on for sure, but it's the placement of the accessories that may give you problems. For example, the front crossmember if you have the compressor that's the low mount. Now, us guys with 60-70s old school cars it doesn't matter because well have tons of room.

They will fit the engine, and you should not run into any clearance issues!

LQ4 and LY6 are both on the same spacing, so they will bolt up to the engine no problem. The issue is the intake and alt will not clear the 3rd gen hood

The LQ4 FEAD will NOT work. Sure it will bolt on. If you are keep the VVT, the balancer pulleys are spaced out. Hense. the water pump is also spaced out. If you deleted the VVT, yes it will work. The L99 FEAD kit will have the proper pulley alignment.

The spacing is the same for gen iii and gen iv truck engines. The difference is in the water pump. The gen iv water pump is spaced the same but is clearanced for the vvt engines.

I apologize but I assumed he had the ly6 water pump. Except for the water pump, everything else is the same including the spacing. The back of the pump is clearanced for the vvt but the pulley spacing remains the same.

I have an ly6 & my original plan was to keep the ly6 water pump, use everything else from an fbody spaced out .75" to match up with the truck pump. But now I'm actually considering Holly's a/c, ps & alt brackets.
