Lifter and Rocker Help Please. Chime IN I have a built LS2. I have a good bit of chatter from my lifters it sounds like. Even after the engine get to operating temp. All rockers were torq to 22 ft/lbs correct using the correct procedure. Just curious if there is anything I can do to fix the issue? I rechecked the torq and they are all correct. Maybe thicker oil, lifters? I use 10w40 mobile 1. OIl pressure runs 50 psi cold and 35 warm at idle. Would different lifters or rocker help for the noise or performance? LS2 Stroked, LS6 TSP Stg 2.5 heads ( dual springs, harden push rods, sotck rockers and lifters).
I know there will be some chatter when cold start esp since its colder now, but should quite more when engine is warm.
What are the advantages of changing rockers and lifters? Sorry for all the questions. This site is the best tool you can use for these questions. Thanks

I too have a knock in my LS3 that changes with the engine speed, so I know its something mechanical. Im not sure if its a loose rocker, a rocker that has puked its bearings, or a bad lifter. The noise has been there since I did the cam install, which I just figured was the headers amplifying the louder double springs, but it has gotten louder since it has been getting colder. It sounds like a pushrod bouncing between the rocker and the lifter. Im just waiting for something to go so I can put a 427 in!
