I read some guys gaining 75 HP with intake, headers, axle back and a tune. I thought It would be achievable?

So should I go with intake ported mani, LT's, cam and tune? I don't mind keeping the stock mufflers.

I guess I'm looking for the cheapest (not as in quality) recipe for TQ and HP gains.

I know I can make the power I have more efficient with stickier tires, better clutch and a little weight reduction to shave a couple tenths.

IMO, I'd get that LS2 intake fully ported or get a Fast 92 intake, for headers get the Kooks 1-7/8", cam that all depends on how streetable and/or smog friendly you want it. Keep in mind that you'll probably spend at least $800 to do a cam swap with a minimum of supporting parts.

With long tubes "smog friendly" is out the window, lol. It's not going to be a drag car so Street ability is important, but I don't mind a lopey idle, stiff clutch and whatever other race car characteristics, I prefer it.

IMO, a cam along the lines of a 227/234 110lsa or a 228/232 111 or 110lsa would be very streetable.

Found a Ls2 GTO with that grind, Sounds awesome and he says he put down 402 hp and 377 tq with shorty's, X pipe and mufflers.

Is that what you mean by " minimum of supporting parts"? I would like to see more torque then that though

That's about a 64rwhp gain, putting an M6 car around 475bhp or 400rwhp which is on the very high side for thse mods. Those usually are good for around 370-385rwhp depending on the dyno.

It's possible to hit 400rwhp without a cam if you do all the bolt-ons possible (FAST, SD tune, EWP, UDP). With just headers and intake it's not.

FAST is the aftermarket intake manifold
SD is a speed density tune where you remove the mass airflow sensor
EWP is an electric water pump
UDP is an underdrive pulley

Thank you for all the info guys. After putting 2k miles on the GOAT it's obvious there's much to be desired in the suspension. So for engine performance I'll put the Svede otrcai intake then it's on to Springs and subframe connectors.
