LSA vs LS3 height difference

Anyone know how much taller the LSA engine is compared to the LS3?

Fwiw the LSA/Ls3 are both the same motor really LSA just has squirters for the pistons lol.

Sorry to dig up this buried thread... but I'm interested as well. Thinking about upgrading a swap and have slight concerns about hood clearance.

Here is an LSA supercharger with ZL1 lid. It is about 8 inches from the top edge of the cylinder head, and almost 9 inches from the front bolt mounting boss of the left cylinder head as shown.

They are REALLY tall. The Magnuson heartbeat is the shortest of the bunch. As it's not OEM it's big $$$. Still won't fit under my hood. :-( The FAST102 has to have the letters shaved off to fit under mine.
