A local shop, Modern Muscle, customized a set-up for me to run dbw. They used an LS2 throttle body actuator...

Thanks for posting the pics for me mate, I am going to follow the same principals and mod one for my VE, it will look great and different to anything in Australia with DBW.

I have contacted MAST to get their intake, now to find a throttle body, for an LSX 454 what would you guys recommend? and it would be modded to this set up.

Cheers again, appreciate

Luck you, you got in before I did, I would've loved this unit, but it's ok, i'll build another one.

But if you could do me a favour, can you measure from your valley plate to the top of the air filter for me, I would be appreciative, I am just trying to work out whether it is going to stick through the bonnet of my VE and if so by how much so I can get a scoop organised.

Cheers

Make sure you figure in that you will need at least 3"+ clearance all around filter, anything less than that and it will not perform to it's potential. Also, I think it would perform better with about a 2" spacer by the throttle body.

Dazzak - if you contacted modern muscle, they may sell you the dbw set-up. With shipping though, it would probably be more cost effective to just buld your own.

For you couple guys trying to figure out twin throttle body options, I've got a blank hi ram top plate I'd sell pretty cheap. Was going to do twin 90mm dbw throttle bodies on a holley hi ram, but went another route..

Pm me.

K and N Filter... have both 2" and 4".

I know this is an old thread but what is the height of the throttle body from the valley cover to the top face of the throttle body? I am trying to figure out the hood clearance for my Chevelle build!

I don't have a valley cover but you will need about 10" plus height for the filter.

Hi Guys, I know an old thread, I have built a similar system using the GM LS7 single plane, 2" spacer and edelbrock 1600cfm throttle body, just fitted and starting to tune, when you were running it, what software were you using to tune, HPT or EFILive? I would like a copy of the tune file to see throttle body settings as mine is going onto limp mode on WOT.

Cheers

Here is a pic of mine on my ute, any help would be appreciated,

I am still using DBW, I have that mounted at the back in a housing and using a lever and adjustable arm to operate the DBC TB, works quite well, just some manifold pressure issues, I am losing 6kpa around the 3500 mark. Just wondered if the 1600cfm can't keep up and whether a 200cfm or bigger will correct the issues
