Default question on Gen IV aluminum vs. Gen IV iron block differences

When comparing the iron Gen IV block to the aluminum Gen IV block, there are a few differences. Does anyone know what these holes are for that still have the bolts threaded into the holes (aluminum block pictured)

anybody know? I think maybe it was a bracket for the wire loom... I'll have to get back to the car and see if I can match it up prior to reinstalling so I know what to expect.

There were quite a few random grounding points on the block when I removed the harness from my LM7. I would imagine that it wouldn't be much different from a Gen III to a IV truck motor. I'll look at mine later- I wrote G in Sharpie on each of the ground points and left the bolts in the block.

Yea, I'm going from aluminum to iron, so I'll just have to see what connections are left over with no mounting holes available on the iron block and adjust.
