Default Removing stock ls1 headers swap with JBA shorty headers HELP

Ok I am new to this so I do not know if I am doing this right so bare with me
I took my stock headers off, and replaced them with JBA shorty headers, and on the Drivers side of the head there is one spot that had a peg in the head instead of a bolt, now I can not seal that part of the header the car is 100% stock before I touch it so
My question is now I have a small exhaust leak in that area , How do I remove the peg ??????
ANY HELP

Post a picture of what you're talking about. I never seen a peg in the head.
