Default LS3 Valley Cover PCV?

How does the PCV work on the LS3 valley cover?
I see there's a nipple on the cover, where does it connect to?
I have LS1 valve covers, trying to figure out to plumb my pcv lines. Wanting to run breathers instead of sucking oil back into the intake.
Race car only.

The valley cover and the drivers rear valve cover are both high vacuum side ports for the PVC. Only one is used normally. Valve cover for most truck applications and valley cover for say 2010+ Camaro. They do not have check valves in them but both are restricted or metered. The drivers front valve cover is a unrestricted vent. So... Take a line from behind the throttle body to either the valley cover port or the drivers rear port. Then take the passenger side port to somewhere before the throttle body.

The idea of all PCV setups is to make a fresh air loop.

Does the LS3 valley cover have a built in PCV valve?
Can I just run a hose from the valley cover nipple to the pass side valve cover, and put a breather on the valve cover?
Will this be enought to pull the gases from the valley cover?
I don't want to recirculate the gases back into the intake.

on the C6 corvette bunch of guys run a breather on the end of the hose that comes off the intake nipple and plug the intake manifold port.

check this link out.

GM has moved from using PCV check valves it seems and instead use restricted orifices. The valley cover and the drivers rear valve cover are both restricted ports intended for high vacuum side of the PCV. As for breathers that is an option to but we try our hardest not to use them as they can bring oily smells inside the cab. If we have to use them we will but if we can get away from it we will not. To stop excessive oil consumption look for a good catch can.

We will have our own catch can in a matter of a week or two. Check pcmofnc.com we will have them up on our website.

Really don't want to plumb back into intake.

Did you leave the fresh air line from pass valve cover to throttle body? Or run a breather on valve cover? I’m asking bc I’m debating what to do with the PCV on my new engine swap. I have the ls3 valley and was thinking of just running a breather off of it so I don’t have a chance of sucking oil into the intake. I was also going to run a breather for fresh air side or just leave the fresh air line as mentioned.

Yes plug that one if you are using ls6/ ls3 valley cover. I only used that port for pcv when I was using ls1 style pcv
