missing nut MSD intake?

missing nut MSD intake?

The attached photo shows the inside of my LS7 MSD intake towards the rear. Is there supposed to be a nut on that stud? There is one on the front side. It is hard to tell how it's put together without taking it apart.

Push it and see if it moves. On the MSD they have some threaded inserts and this might be one of them. I presume that is the one that holds all the intake tubes together. I would check on line for photos there are a few with the top taken off and you can see this area.

Mine has a nut on it there. Make sure to use nylocks. I don’t think it’s very tight, it just holds the runners from moving basically. You don’t want a loose nut rattling around in there!

Just to clarify, we're talking about the rear stud. Mine has one on the front.

For sure about the lose nut!

Definately supposed to have a nut. U can see the loc tight on the threads

See if the nut is hiding somewhere In the plenum there - don't want that going anywhere.

^^ yes for sure. had a buddy suck up a bolt and a but connector on 2 diff motors from the intake. Intake was purchased used and never really checked it.
