Default Dry Sump Location Question

Ok, need some help here; I’m moving down the path in finding a place to mount a Dry Sump tank. Before I create a bunch of work in designing and developing a new tank I’d rather see if someone out there has already done this.

Although there’s an easier option in mounting it either on the firewall or the trunk I’m looking to mount it in the passenger side cowl. Looking to get 3+ Ga oil capacity so the entire area needs to be utilized. I’d like to see if someone has used this location and what’s the details associated in placing the tank there.
Here’s a couple pictures to give you an idea of what I’m looking at

Take a look over at Lateral G network forum. GM engineer Mark Stielow is building a new 69 Camaro over there with a LS9 dry sump motor. He is mounting his tank in about the same area that you are. I'm doing a dry sump LS3 into a early 70's Vette and am mounting it on passenger side behind motor centerline just like GM did with my C6 Z06. I may even be able to use the GM feed lines if things work out with header clearance.

yea, i've been following since i've posted and i've talked to several dry sump providers...the concern i have is how much volume do i need to avoid "foaming". Actually Bill at Dailey was very helpful and we're thinking we can get a 2ga tank to work. He stated that they have a lot of experience with the LS engines using a 2ga tank without any issues...specifically in high G situation. fitting a 2ga tank would be much easier than trying to get a 3ga. Still doing some research and i'll post the final results....Thanks the feedback!
