mast ls7 throttle surge problem

mast ls7 throttle surge problem Hi
I have a mast ls7 ss 650hp engine in a mazda rx7, i am very happy with its performance however it has really bad throttle serge under 2k rpm is this to be expected or is there a problem?
It has a 90mm cable TB and an emerald ecu i know they supply them with the DBW would that be better for it?
The emerald also only bank fires the injectors to i am wondering if the ecu isnt up to the job here is a link to the ecu
