Default 2006 LM7 to 2007 LY5 swap?

I have a 2006 GMC 1500 with a tired LM7 and wanted to see what it would take to swap in a LY5. Do I need to swap reluctor wheels? I read that they both should have 58x wheels. Thanks

Are you sure that your LM7 is 58x , Im thinking it should be 24x ,dont know of any Gen III that were 58x Most Gen IV were 58x by 2006. IIRC example 2005 Trailblazer / Envoys LH6 were 24x and 2006 up were 58x
