I started on a similar project myself several years ago, just don't have the time it will take to fabricate from sheet aluminum right now. My version will be taller, completely separated runners like the performance design, & definitely prettier.
I got advice from a gm engineer involved in LS7 intake production & my general design has far less power making compromises the whole rpm range up than factory. Size, complexity & cost are the issues here.

NRE knows a little about custom intakes & power, so I wouldn,t be too quick to knock it. If they hurry up & come out with it, maybe I'll get inspired to get off my *** & finish my intake.

I was thinking of raising the runners/plenums if I was making one. However they probably want to make sure it would fit under the hood of a Corvette.

Would love to see this thing with two throttle bodies on it. The 90mm bodies are pretty affordable now I would imagine two of those would be more than adequate.

Any updates on this?

That intake looks wicked for sure.

Supposedly the price is ~$1600 with relocation brackers, hardware, and new fuel rails. If it makes more power than the traditional FAST style intakes, it make be a worthwhile investment.
curious how much more over a fast it makes. even if it is 1600. (or more with two TB's) thats still about a grand more then the fast. Becks are nice pieces too and make more power. Most people still opt for that just due to costs.

also would like to see that in other engine bays as well. lol and how to change the oil

What I'm noticing is how much that belt is flopping around between the crank and the tensioner. No wonder we toss belts. Time to figure out an idle to put in there.

I don't think a solid tensioner would help.... I think it's simply the length between the crank pulley and the idler pulley. Look at the length between the crank pulley and the alternator, it's flopping, just not as bad.

I thought the same thing . . . All that flapping, in addition to throwing belts, has to shorten the life of the belt.

Looks like it picked up a ton. Now on to the LS7 head port version and see what we can muster up!?

Looks to me that these are dyno tests and they are doing them as quickly as posible to gather data. So some of the niceties are probably missing.

Yah on the "small cam" deal. I was thinking the same thing as i watched it **** and buck on the engine dyno. Either that is a quite bigger cam than mentioned or they don't know how to tune

Anyone notice the oil and water temps? Notice how it's cold as can be when they have the FAST on there but the temps are higher for the X-ram? Granted, it's not a huge thing, but if you're going to do a back to back comparison, all else should be kept equal. Obviously, hotter oil is better for making power as it thins out, espcially if they are running a heavy weight oil.

The belt is installed incorrectly. There is barely any wrap around the crank pulley.
