Default 4500 tb

I am looking for a monoblade throttle body. I have seen them with a 4150 base but Mast said I should use a 4500 base for their 2 piece intake in a 427. Do not want to use a spacer/adapter since it will probably cause hood clearance problems.

Why not just use a 4500 style

I wanted more linear throttle control. My experience with a Holley DP was that it was hard to apply throttle once I got into the secondaries. Tires would spin.

Never been able to feel the second 1/2 of the tb open on mine. It is not a carb. Should be a smooth seamless transition

Scorpion has a rather nice TB that flows quite a bit and it is a low profile design. 2000 CFM out of a 4150 flange is not a slouch. They are not monoblade, but they are rather easy to tune as far as the higher flowing TBs go.

My experience putting a single large monoblade 102mm TB on my LSX intake was a bust when it came to low speed drivability!
