This one had a 102mm inlet W/ a 102 TB and a ton of time porting.
Back to back on the dyno it gained nothing.
In order to open up the throttle body opening on the intake to 102mm, the stock gasket has to be eliminated since the opening expands into that area. This one wasn't opened to 102mm with the stock gasket still being used. Putting a 102mm throttle body on here probably wouldn't see gains since the intake opening is smaller, air would hit a lip and be disrupted on the way into the intake.
haha 2strokes letting the snky out. thats not stock the whole front end is alum. We made that TB flange with the cnc, its 102mm. And to get the throat a real 102, a stock intake manifold is NOT big enough so thats all replaced with alum. You have to cut all the stock plastic out. No way you can do it with the stock casting. And even that didnt gain any power, re tested this over the winter looking for a gain on a stock LS3 intake and found anything that works. After years ago testing other ported LS3 intakes, privately on a side project for somone when he didnt see any gains on engine dynos. More then the old gasket match and how "air would hit a lip and be disrupted on the way into the intake" (lots of porting and changes, cutting the bottom out changing runners ect) You gained 19hp with this "radical 102" port work, thats incredible
Customer gets great gains from LS3 Radical 102 porting
Listen to what this recent customer says about his Radical 102 ported setup on and LS3:
“Just an update on how the install went, added the following nick williams throttle body and the ported LS3 intake along with meth injection and tune.
Baseline car made 484 RWHP and 434 Torque
After tune car made 521 RWHP and 466 Torque.
Showing some nice gains into the ported LS3 heads with LG G6X3 cam and ARH 1 7/8.”

Porting intake manifolds and throttle bodies is Peak Speed Shop's primary business. We do a lot of them and have gained a good reputation for high quality work and performance.
Our proprietary process of "Radical Porting" stock LS intake manifolds gains top results! In terms of cost per horse power gained, this is one of the lower cost modifications you can do. A weekend mechanic can easily do it in their garage.

I received mine and it looked great, and the communication along the way was awesome.
It took awhile to get the NW TB (not Peak's fault).
One thing I noticed is that the engine has a unique (and loud) hum from the intake. I assume it is the intake because the hum is there with both the stock TB or NW102 bolted up. Any other people notice a wierd harmonics with their 102 intake?
BTW, this isnt a dig at Peakspeedshop, just trying to see if anyone else is experiencing this too!

yes they will hum. Mine isn't ported by peak speed. But by another person. Mine makes a lower pitch hum like blowing over the top of a coke bottle. Mine does it towards the rear of the intake.

Thanks for the info! I pulled the intake off and it seems to be crack free... Must just be a harmonics thing.
