Engine vibration - LS2 - Bad dampener?

Engine vibration - LS2 - Bad dampener? Hey. Just picked up a 2006 CTS-V. It has only 56k and the dampener has a visible wobble at idle. The engine seems to vibrate excessively. It does this in or out of gear around 1500RPM or higher.
Will a bad dampener cause excessive vibration to where you can feel it inside the car?
I do have different aftermarket motor mounts (creative steel) but they are all good and not broken. Also have a LS7 Clutch. I already have a new dampener ordered and wont be driving the caddy much until i get this sorted out. The bolt on the dampener still seems tight.

Yes because the crankshaft balencer/damper is designed to dampen engine vibrations and or balance the engine(to a certain extent, should be internally balanced), once it starts to wobble the two halves of the balancer are no longer connected securely and it will not dampen the engine vibrations as it should. The two halves are usually epoxied or have some sort of glue that holds them together and this gets old and doesn't hold as its supposed to. Also once it gets loose enough it can also spin the half off that holds the serpentine and a/c belt. Start with the balencer and report back
