LC9 to L76 Swap VVT

LC9 to L76 Swap VVT Not exactly a LS question but GenIV. Swapped out my LC9 in my '07 Suburban for a '08 L76. Realized during the swap the LC9 does not have VVT, thought it did. Was planning on using original wiring harness and computer from Suburban. Now I can't b/c it will not connect to the VVT. Can the '07 ECM and TCM be used on the '08 wiring harness and just program in the VVT operation, or are things pinned differently at the ECM? I don't want to blow up the original ECM. Or will I need to run the ECM and TCM that came with the engine and trans? Could I use it and just change the VIN# to match the truck (relearn VATS?). One problem with that is the '07 ECM and TCM are already licensed with my EFILive, so would need to buy new license for '08 computers. Thought maybe VVT could be abandoned and that would allow the original wiring harness and computers to be used but I don't know if the cam would perform properly if it is always in it's as installed position with no phasing applied.
