Default Ls2 cam

I am swapping my ta with an ls2 and I'm going to go with an after market cam... I was wondering what is the biggest cam I can put in there with max amount of power without fly cutting the pistons, and I do know new valve springs will be a must..

I fitted a CompCam 235 243 .621" .624" 113 to friends manual HSV GTO.
Has a nice idle and revs clean to 7,200rpm.

No mods, I'm just putting in a stock ls2 but wanted to put a bigger cam in it. I want the largest because I want the most amount of power..

Yes I do, however there is not much point posting them as Australian dynos appear to have a different calibration to USA dynos.

No mods and you want the largest camshaft for a ls2? .....you definitely need to rethink things or you'll end up with a turd on the street

That is correct, but I did say the largest camshaft for a stock ls2 without having to flycut or get new heads...

Manual HSV GTO LS2 made 416rwhp.

On the same dyno our auto Monaro LS3 makes 415 with converter unlocked.

GET A CUSTOM GRIND! I recommend Vengeance Racing or Tick Performance. They can spec it and have it ground for you.
