ls6 intake on a ls2?

What makes the ls6 intake so desirable? Is it better than the stock ls2 intake? If so in hp how much better? Just trying to learn more about these awesome engines. Thanks

I may be wrong, but it's my understanding that they're about the same in performance except that the LS6 uses the cable driven throttle body and the LS2 doesn't which creates an install problem in the 4th Gen Fbodies.

People with more Tech experience please chime in.

It's simply a better design, and might give you another 10 hp or so

The intake manifold itself does not care one bit what type of throttle body is used at the end of it. Both can be setup with either throttle choice.

Got it.. both are different sizes so some mods would be required.

The LS2 TB is 90mm and a different bolt pattern than the LS6 (78mm?). There are adapters made to bolt them together.
